My name is Lisa Panigada. I’ve always cared about our wonderful planet and its nature, so my attention towards the environment and recycling has grown with me. Little by little, I’ve tried to develop a more sustainable and eco-friendly lifestyle.
The first time I’ve heard about Beeswax Wraps was in 2016, during my trip to Australia; I instantly fell in love with them. In 2017, after I came back from my trip, I’ve came up with the idea to make the wraps myself and introduce them to my area. After multiple experiments, I’ve found the right mix of wax and manufacturing process and in January 2018, I founded Beeco Wraps.
The first wraps were born in my kitchen, in the amazing Vallemaggia. We now have a small studio in Sementina, it’s inside a beautiful roulotte that my father built himself and adapted it for the production of the wraps.
The idea was to share with as many people as possible the philosophy of using alternatives to plastic, thus reducing its use in our homes. I really want people to understand that small gestures, when multiplied by millions of people, can really improve the world!
I have to say that we have immediately had a great response from people, who have supported us with great enthusiasm with a fantastic word of mouth, and this is what made us say: YES, we have to move forward.
Mine is a small family business. The environment is very important to me when I work, and with the family there is always a fun atmosphere and good vibrations. I could never have created all this on my own… the support of my parents, my brother and my dad’s partner has been really important. They have supported me right from the start both in production and promotion at local markets and trade fairs, and we still work day after day to offer you a product of the best possible quality!
We make every single wrap by hand with natural organic ingredients, GOTS certified cotton and lots of passion!
